We help run an effective and smooth path toward energization by understanding and anticipating utility requirements, reducing the iterative process, and acting as a consistent point of contact.
Our expediting approach typically reduces energization timelines from 36 to 12 months.
New Development
We support our clients through every stage of the utility coordination process, from early engagement to on-going communication and long-lead planning. We engage directly with Utilities to understand their requirements and processes to keep energization schedules on track.
Conceptual Design
We work closely with our clients & utilities to design practical overhead and/or underground routes to bring power to site. Our design tools include high accuracy GIS, up to date imagery, & CAD data to communicate effectively with the stakeholders. Site walk-downs allow us to make accurate & up-to-date decisions on the best options for our clients.
Construction Tracking
We act as an Owner’s Representative monitoring the construction process to energize each site. We work with utilities to clearly define the client’s scope, maintain energization schedules, and anticipate risks with mitigation strategies.

Our team operates in demanding regulated utility environments with long lead times and strict documentation requirements. We expedited the energization timeline and reduced client uncertainty by proactively preparing deliverables and maintaining close communication with stakeholders.

7.5MW, 138 kV Transmission Interconnection with Regulated Utility
We have coordinated utility connections to the grid using on-site substations and private transmission lines, in cases where standard solutions were not viable. We kept projects on track by working closely with transmission and distribution utilities, managing construction planning, minimizing outages, and mitigating risk.

We have maintained smooth, coordinated engagement with Electric Cooperatives through consistent follow-up and clear communication. Our efforts allowed energization timelines to be met and maintained a clear demarcation of scopes.

Our team acted as representatives of a time-constrained client by managing all interactions with this Electric Cooperative on their behalf. We prevented delays with the utility by coordinating requirements, proactively handling long-lead items, and reducing our client’s workload.

We have identified potential risks and opportunities as Owner’s Representatives during the construction of a private substation. Our team kept the project on schedule, coordinated outages, avoided errors, and protected our client’s assets with various mitigation strategies and diligent review.
